The High Authority exchanges with the National Transparency Authority and the Interior Ministry of Greece

In the context of the preparation of a lobbying regulation in Greece, the High Authority was invited to present its work in this field to the National Transparency Authority and the Interior Ministry of Greece.

Lisa Gamgani, Secretary General, presented the missions of the High Authority, its history and the main principles of the regulation of lobbyists.

Marie Lintzer, Head of international partnerships, then presented the different regulations of lobbying in Europe, its development in France, and the objectives of transparency, openness and ethics in the contacts between lobbyists and public officials.

Laura Delair, Head of lobbyists’ declarations, then went into more detail on the registration rules in the French lobbying register, the definition of a lobbying action and the ethical obligations of lobbyists. Controls on lobbyists and sanctions were also discussed as well as the publication of information on lobbying and the use of data by civil society.

The High Authority intends to continue these rich discussions with the Greek authorities.
