Ethics for local political staff
On October 11th 2016, the High Authority for transparency in public life took part into the annual tradeshow of political staff and political jobs to lead a workshop on ethics and declarations of assets and interests.
Ms. Elodie CUERQ, Head of the Communication department, and Mr. Antoine Hery, Head of The Transparency Department, presented the missions of the High Authority, including its role in advising public officials and public institutions to prevent conflict of interest. They also explained the new provisions of a recent law on ethics of French civil servants. It includes those related to the cabinets of local executive chairmen who have until November 1st to submit a declaration of assets and a declaration of interests to the High Authority for transparency in public life.
The exchanges with the public were focused on who is concerned and what are the information required.
