Assets : discussion between the High Authority and the High Council of French Notariat

On 19 October 2016, the Board members of the High Authority received Mr. Pierre-Luc Vogel, president of the High Council of French Notariat, accompanied by Mr. Philippe Durand, member of the bureau and Christine Rey’s Boissieu, administrator in charge of real estate matters.

The High Authority is responsible for controlling asset declarations of public officials and must be able to proceed with the most detailed real estate evaluation possible, which may be complicated by technical issues that arise in assessment process as mentioned in the 2015 activity report. Since the notaries know all the property transfers in real estate, they are the guarantors of legal security of the authentic instruments.

The Board members of the High Authority also discussed with the experts about lessons learned from the first cycle of declarations’ control.
